The teacher behind the app.

Ciao, I'm Nicole — a native Italian from Emilia Romagna and the founder of Nipo Italian. I hold a degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures, and I teach Italian to students from all over the world. Having learned other languages myself, I know exactly where beginners get stuck — and how to get them unstuck.

I built this app for the same reason I love teaching: I wanted a tool that felt warm and personal — not just another grid of flashcards. Something that respects your time, your pace, and the simple joy of discovering a beautiful language.

Whether you're using the app on your own or working with me one-on-one, the philosophy is the same: gradual progress, real conversations, and a space where mistakes are welcome.

It depends on your level and how you like to learn. The app is great for everyone, anytime — daily self-paced practice. Conversation Groups are for B1+ students who want to speak more. And Private 1:1 is for anyone who wants fully personalized lessons. A dedicated Beginners Course (video lessons + weekly live session) is coming soon — join the waitlist if that's you.
All live classes happen on Google Meet. Conversation Groups meet on Sundays at 18:00 CET (75 min). You book single sessions — no subscription, no fixed commitment. You'll get the Meet link by email after you join.
The Sunday 18:00 CET time isn't random — it's the sweet spot that catches the most people at once: early evening in Europe, midday in the Americas, and afternoon across Africa and the Middle East. You book one session at a time, so there's no commitment if you can only join some Sundays. And the upcoming Beginners Course will have pre-recorded lessons you can watch anytime, plus a weekly live session that's also recorded.
Maximum 5 students per group — on purpose. Small groups mean everyone actually gets to speak. Each session is booked on its own, so the group can change from week to week, but it always stays small and focused on real conversation.
Conversation Groups are designed for B1 and above — you should already be able to hold a basic conversation. If you're a beginner, start with the app to build your foundations (and join the waitlist for the upcoming Beginners Course). Not sure about your level? Just email me and we'll figure it out together.
The first 2 weeks are free. After that, it's a single one-time payment of €49 (launch price until 31 August, then €69) for lifetime access — no subscription, no recurring fees.
The app is a one-time purchase, not a subscription — there's nothing to cancel. You get the first 2 weeks free to try everything before you buy. For live lessons, you can reschedule or cancel by following the booking policy.
The app interface and Ask Nipo are available in English and Spanish. In live classes, I can explain things in English or Spanish when needed — but we gradually shift to more and more Italian as you grow.
