The teacher behind the app.

Ciao, I'm Nicole — a native Italian from Emilia Romagna and the founder of Nipo Italian. I hold a degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures, and I teach Italian to students from all over the world.

I built this app for the same reason I love teaching: I wanted a tool that felt warm and personal — not just another grid of flashcards. Something that respects your time, your pace, and the simple joy of discovering a beautiful language.

Whether you're using the app on your own or working with me one-on-one, the philosophy is the same: gradual progress, real conversations, and a space where mistakes are welcome.

It depends on your level and how you like to learn. The app is great for everyone, anytime — daily self-paced practice. Conversation Sessions are small group calls for students who want to speak more, booked one at a time. And Private 1:1 is for anyone who wants fully personalized lessons. A dedicated Beginners Course (video lessons + weekly live session) is coming soon — join the waitlist if that's you.
All live classes happen on Google Meet. Conversation Sessions run on Sundays at 18:00 CET (60 min) — a time that works across Europe, Latin America and the US. Book whichever date suits you, one session at a time. You'll get the Google Meet link by email once your spot is confirmed.
Conversation Sessions are on Sundays at 18:00 CET — chosen because it works across time zones: it's late afternoon in Europe, early afternoon in Latin America, and late morning / midday in the US (12:00 New York, 9:00 California). The upcoming Beginners Course will have pre-recorded video lessons you can watch anytime, plus a weekly live session that will also be recorded.
Maximum 5 students per session — on purpose. Small groups mean everyone actually gets to speak. You'll often see familiar faces, since many learners come back regularly, so you build real confidence together.
Conversation Sessions are designed for B1 and above — you should already be able to hold a basic conversation. If you're a beginner, start with the app to build your foundations (and join the waitlist for the upcoming Beginners Course). Not sure about your level?
